This is a Legacy article on Production Configuration. If you have not yet started using Workflow Builder and still need this content, please proceed. We strongly advise you to check out the Workflow Builder sections in the Help Center.

This article provides a step-by-step guide on how to use Gelato Connect to create new products and set up efficient production flows, ensuring a smooth and streamlined onboarding process for new customers and products.

Step 1: Adding a New Product

To add a new product:

  1. Select Product Model and Category:

    • Choose the model and category of the product.

  2. Enter Product Details:

    • Name and Description: Assign a name and provide a description.

    • Select Parts and Attributes: If the product has multiple parts (e.g., canvas), select each part and configure relevant attributes to ensure specificity.

    • Set Dimensions and Packaging: Input height, weight, and packaging details. These specifications allow Gelato Connect to process orders accurately once they come in.

Step 2: Creating a Production Flow

Once your product is set up, the next step is defining its production flow. This allows Gelato Connect to route the product through the necessary steps for production automatically.

  1. Add Flow Steps:

    • Drag and Drop Steps: Using the flow page, drag and drop production steps like "Print" and "Cut" to set up the production sequence.

  2. Configure Each Step: Configure any additional post-processing requirements.

This structured flow ensures each order follows the correct production path based on your configurations.

Finalizing the Setup

After setting up the product and flow, Gelato Connect will be ready to handle orders efficiently, automatically routing them through the configured production steps. This streamlined setup reduces onboarding time for new products and customers, enabling production in minutes rather than hours or days.
