Setting up and managing manual stores

Manual stores in GelatoConnect Storefronts provide a convenient way for you to place recurring orders without setting up a full e-commerce integration. This guide will walk you through the process of creating and managing a manual store and effectively managing your manual store operations.

Why use a manual store?

Manual stores are ideal for:

  • Placing recurring orders for products Print Service Providers (PSPs) and their customers order frequently

  • Testing print quality before setting up full storefront integrations

  • Managing orders for clients who don't have their own online stores

  • Creating a dedicated space for specific product lines or customers

Creating a manual store

  1. Access Storefronts:

  2. Navigate to Stores in the left sidebar navigation menu.

  3. Add a Manual Store:

    • In the "Connect a new store" section click on the "Manual" icon

    • Enter a name for the manual store (e.g., "Regular Orders" or "Client Name Products")

    • If logged into Storefronts Connect as a PSP you will need to select which customer the manual store should be assigned to. Your customers logged in would not need to select this option.

    • Click "Add store" to set up the manual store.

Adding products to the manual store

To add products to your manual store:

  1. Access your manual store from the stores list.

  2. Click the "Add product" button in the top right.

  3. Select a product from your product catalog.

  4. Add a design to your selected product using the design editor.

  5. Click the "Continue to Details" button in the top right.

  6. Configure the product details (title and description).

  7. Click the "Save" button in the top right to publish the product to your manual store.

Placing an order in your manual store

Once your manual store is set up, you can place orders using these steps:

  1. Access your manual store from the stores list.

  2. Click on the product you want to place an order for.

  3. On the product page click on the "New order" button in the top right.

  4. A popup will appear allowing you to select which variant(s) of the product you would like to order. Select the relevant variants.

  5. When you proceed to the next steps you will have the opportunity to add additional products to the order.

  6. You will need to provide a shipping address and choose a shipping method.

  7. The order can be reviewed before submitting it for production.

Managing manual store orders

After setting up your manual store and placing an order, you can easily manage your orders:

  1. View Orders:

    • Navigate to the Orders section in Storefronts

    • Filter by your manual store to see all associated orders

    • Track order status, from received to shipped

  2. Order Details:

    • Click on any order to view complete details

    • See production status, shipping information, and tracking details

    • Make changes to shipping addresses if needed
