[GCP] Checking SKU Activity and Logs

Written by Julia Gołębiowska

You can access detailed logs for any specific SKU to track when quantity changes occurred, why they happened, and who performed the update. This helps in maintaining accurate records and troubleshooting inventory questions.

How to Check Logs

  1. Search for the SKU: Enter the SKU name (e.g., "silk paper") in the search field.

  2. Open Activity Log: Click on the options menu for that SKU and select "SKU activity".

  3. View and Filter Logs: You will see a list of all activities. You can filter these logs by date range or by specific event types.

Understanding Log Filters

  • Order Received: Select this filter to see quantity increases associated with specific order numbers. For example, you can track when a partially received order added stock to your inventory.

  • Print Job Consumption: Use this to view stock deductions triggered by automated consumption for print jobs.

  • Manual Stock Update: This filter reveals when stock was changed manually, showing the user ID of the person who made the change and the previous vs. current stock values.

  • Location Quantity Change: This log tracks when inventory is moved between different storage locations.
