The Reporting section in Gelato Connect Procurement (GCP) provides detailed insights into inventory, orders, transfers, and stock valuation. This guide explains how to access the reporting tools, understand each report type, and download data for analysis.
Navigating to the Reports Section
To access reports, go to the left-hand menu of the GCP dashboard. Under the Procurement section, select Inventory Management and then click on Reports. You will find five different types of reports available in this section.
Inventory Report
The Inventory Report displays all SKUs that are part of your inventory management system. It includes the product name, the warehouse and location where it is stored, the associated supplier, current quantity, and the quantity ordered but not yet delivered. The report can be customized by supplier, warehouse location, and product category. You can adjust the number of rows displayed per page and export the data in Excel or CSV formats for offline analysis.
Order Data Report
The Order Data Report provides insights into orders placed via GCP. You can generate reports for a specific time range, such as from March 31 to May 1, and filter by order date, delivery date, supplier, purchase order number, or order status. There are two display modes: item-level view, which shows SKU details including quantity and pricing, and order-level view, which shows order numbers, total cost, and status without SKU-level breakdowns. Both formats are exportable in Excel or CSV.
Inventory Value Report
This report shows the total inventory value in your warehouse based on the SKUs and their assigned default supplier prices. It helps you assess the current inventory valuation. The report allows you to compare historical inventory values across previous months, supporting up to 12 months of data for long-term users. New users will see data starting from their onboarding date.
Inventory Transfer Report
The Inventory Transfer Report tracks stock movement activities including stock received, transferred between locations, and consumed. It shows the origin and destination of transfers, date of consumption, old and new stock levels, and quantity changes. The report also includes the reason provided during each transfer or inventory update. This helps track SKU activity across production zones and supports better auditability.
Product in Location Report
This report provides a snapshot of available inventory by location. It shows quantity per warehouse, product category, and physical location, allowing for precise stock tracking across storage areas. This report is particularly useful for warehouse management and stock audits.
Summary
The reporting tools in GCP are designed to offer a comprehensive overview of procurement activities. Each report can be tailored to meet your data analysis needs and exported for further processing. These reports support better planning, purchasing, and operational visibility across your supply chain.
