Fixing External Print Window

If you encounter an external PDF window while printing a label, adjust your settings by following these steps:

  1. Go to the "Options" menu on the settings page.

  2. Select a different print engine.

  3. If the issue persists, try selecting another print engine.

Improving Label Quality

If you're experiencing poor label quality, particularly when using the XPDF print engine, try these solutions:

  1. Disable the "Print as Image" option in the XPDF settings.

  2. If the problem continues, consider switching to a different print engine for optimal results.

Adjusting Label Orientation

To correct label orientation issues, follow these simple steps:

  1. If you're using the XPDF engine, try turning off the "Auto-rotate labels" option.

  2. If this doesn't resolve the issue, consider selecting a different print engine for better compatibility.

Correcting Label Size

If your labels are printing in the wrong size, try the following adjustments:

  1. For XPDF users, disable the "Auto-detect paper origin" option.

  2. Explore different options in the "Print scale" section for better size accuracy.

  3. Alternatively, switch to the "Sumatra v2" print engine and adjust the scan options there for greater control over label dimensions.

Enhancing Printing Speed

Experiencing slow printing speeds? This section guides you on how to potentially increase printing speed by modifying specific settings.

Changing the Printer Engine to "SumatraV4"

Follow these steps to change your printer engine to "SumatraV4":

  1. Open the Work Settings Page:

    • Click on your profile picture in the top right corner of your screen.

    • Select "Work Settings" from the dropdown menu.

  2. Scroll to the Printers Section:

    • On the Work Settings page, scroll down to the "Printers" section.

  3. Click "Show Advanced Settings":

    • In the "Printers" section, click on "Show Advanced Settings" to access additional options.

  4. Change Printer Engine:

    • Locate the "Printer Engine" section.

    • Select "SumatraV4" from the list of available printer engines.

Save your settings. This change might enhance your printing speed.

Disabling Zebra Status Watcher

To disable the Zebra Status Watcher, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Work Settings Page:

    • Repeat steps 1, 2, and 3 from the "Changing the Printer Engine to 'SumatraV4'" section above.

  2. Toggle Off the Zebra Watcher:

    • Find the "Watch zebra status" section.

    • Switch the toggle button off to disable the Zebra status watcher.

Disabling the watcher might improve printing speed but remember that you'll stop receiving notifications about printer status, such as being off or out of paper.

Printing Inserts or Stickers

If you're facing issues with continuous roll printing for inserts or stickers, check your printing preferences in Windows for the specific printer you're using. Ensure the settings are configured correctly for continuous roll printing.
