In this article you'll find a step by step guide for how to add a ready-made product model in seconds.
Adding a new product model is quick when you add products from Gelato's catalog of ready-made products.
Step 1: Navigate to the Product Models Section
Go to Product Models in GelatoConnect.
Click on Add from Catalog to access Gelato's ever-updating library of product models.
Step 2: Choose a Product Model
Browse through the library to find the product model that best describes the type of product you want to produce. For example, if you want to add a canvas, select the Canvas model.
Step 3: Assign a Category
Choose a category to organize your product model. You can either:
Select an existing category.
Create a new category (e.g., "Canvas").
Name your product model (e.g., "Demo") or use the default name provided.
Step 4: Review the Product Attributes
Once the product model is added, it will include predefined attributes specific to that product type. For example, for a canvas:
Format (Size): Defines the dimensions of the canvas.
Material: Specifies the substrate (e.g., cotton, polyester).
Color: Indicates the print color options (e.g., CMYK, grayscale).
Step 5: Utilize Pre-Configured Attributes and Dimensions
The catalog automatically includes product dimensions for the selected product model.
These attributes are pre-configured, so you don’t need to make any additional adjustments.
Step 6: Create Customer Products
After setting up the product model, you can proceed to create customer products using the predefined attributes and dimensions.
Benefits of Using Gelato's Catalog
Saves time by leveraging pre-defined structures for product attributes.
Ensures consistency across your products.
Simplifies the setup process, allowing you to focus on creating and selling products.
By following these steps, you can quickly set up a new product in GelatoConnect and start customizing it for your customers.
