This article explains how to use the Framed Posters and Canvases workflow in GelatoConnect to ensure that posters are correctly mounted into their corresponding frames during the dispatch and production process.
Where to Access the Framed Posters Verification Page
To verify poster-to-frame mounting:
Go to the Dispatch Production section in the GelatoConnect app.
Find and click on the Framed Posters and Canvases item.
Alternatively, use the Filter by name field to quickly locate and open the page.
Mounting Verification Workflow
This page is designed to ensure that the correct poster is mounted into the correct frame by verifying matching barcodes.
Step 1: Scan Poster Barcode
Use a barcode scanner to scan the poster barcode.
The system will fetch information about the poster and its associated frame.
Step 2: Scan Frame Barcode
Pick the corresponding frame based on the displayed information.
Scan the barcode on the frame.
✅ If the frame matches the poster, you can proceed.
❌ If the frame does not match, the system will show an error message.
Step 3: Print and Use the Job Ticket
After a successful match, the system will automatically print a job ticket.
The ticket contains all relevant details and a barcode for final confirmation.
Mount the poster into the confirmed frame using this job ticket as your reference.
Step 4: Final Confirmation
Once the mounting is complete, scan the barcode on the job ticket to confirm the process is finished.
This step marks the framed poster as completed in the system.
Manual Barcode Entry (When Scanner Is Unavailable)
If you do not have access to a barcode scanner:
You can manually enter the poster and frame barcodes into the system fields.
The rest of the process (match confirmation, job ticket download, and mounting confirmation) remains the same.
Monitoring Progress
The Framed Posters and Canvases page also shows a progress tracker, indicating:
Which posters have already been mounted
Which ones are still pending mounting
Notes
You need a barcode scanner and printer for the standard workflow. However, all steps can be performed manually if necessary.
Job tickets can be saved as a file if a printer is not connected.
