Overview
The On-Demand Job Ticket feature allows Production Managers and Operators to generate a job ticket instantly — directly from the Job Ticket Printing page — without waiting for scheduled printing. You can trigger a job ticket either by scanning a barcode or by manually entering a Print Job ID.
The On-Demand Job Ticket uses a static template provided by Gelato and cannot currently be modified. Customisation through Imposition templates is coming soon. This on-demand job ticket includes:
Print Job ID
Product UID
Barcode linked to the Print Job ID
Prerequisites
Before Operators can use this feature, you need to set up two things in Work Settings: the printer to use, and the dimensions of the ticket.
Open the GelatoConnect Desktop app - This functionality is specifically to the Desktop app.
Go to Work Settings.
Select the Printers tab.
Under Job Ticket Printer, select the printer to use for job ticket output.
💡 If no physical printer is available, select Print to PDF — the system will generate a downloadable PDF instead.
Scroll to the bottom of the page to the On-Demand Job Ticket section.
Enter the width and length for the on-demand job ticket dimensions.
Save your changes.
Once this is configured, Operators can start generating job tickets immediately.

5. The job ticket is sent to the configured job ticket printer. If the selection has been “Print to PDF”, a PDF is generated instead.
From a production station
The On-Demand Job Ticket button is also available at the top-right corner of every production station — including DTG, Mounting, Packaging, and others.
When you're already working inside a production station, you're already in the context of a specific print job, so no scanning or manual input is needed. Simply:
Click the On-Demand Job Ticket button in the top-right corner of the station.
The job ticket is sent directly to the configured printer.
