Breadcrumb: GelatoConnect Desktop App > Production Management > Operations > Job Ticket Printing
Overview
The Job Ticket Printing page is the central screen for printing job tickets — the physical tickets that travel with every print job through your facility. From this one page, supervisors and operators can see every ticket that needs to be downloaded, and confirm what has already been printed.
💡 A job ticket is a physical paper generated by GelatoConnect to identify a print job (which you have previously defined the tempate in Imposition Templates).
Who uses this page
Supervisors and production managers — plan a print run, and confirm the right tickets are queued for the right shift.
Print operators — print tickets at the start of a run, troubleshoot tickets that did not print, and mark tickets as Printed or Downloaded when needed.
Opening the page
Navigate to Production Management > Operations > Job Ticket Printing.
💡 If you have not pinned the page yet, star it from the page header so it appears at the top of your Favorites in the main menu.
Tabs on the page
The page is organised into three tabs. All three share the same search and filter controls.
Tab | What it shows |
Job Tickets | Every job ticket in scope of the current filters, regardless of state — your default working view. |
Print Queue | Only the Just In Time tickets queued for printing. |
Reprints | A focused view of only reprint jobs (also visible under Job Tickets with an icon). Helpful when you want to process reprints without scanning the full queue. |
Saving a custom view
Once you have a search, filter, and column configuration that works for your shift, save it for next time:
Select 3 or more filters to enable the “Save custom view” icon.
Click Save Custom View at the top right of the page.
Give the view a name and save.
The Save Custom View button is always visible, so the feature is easy to discover. When you have not made enough filter or column changes yet, the button is shown disabled with a tooltip explaining what is needed to enable it.
Working with columns
Use the column picker at the top right of the table to toggle columns on and off. Notable optional columns:
Job Ticket Status — surfaces the underlying job ticket state (Prepared / Downloaded / Printed).
Reprint indicator — reprint jobs carry a visible indicator inline in the table, so you can scan a list of results and tell at a glance which jobs are reprints, without opening the detail view.
Selecting and printing tickets
Click a row to open the print job detail panel. Rour scroll position will be preserved.
Select one or more tickets using the checkboxes, then use the print action to send them to your configured job-ticket printer.
Select all applies only to the rows currently visible after filtering — it never selects rows hidden behind a filter.
Manually marking tickets Printed or Downloaded
If a sticker was printed outside GelatoConnect — for example, on a backup printer — you can mark it Printed without re-running the print flow:
Select one or many tickets.
Click the Change status button at the top-right part of the table.
Select the target status: Prepared, Printed or Downloaded.
The status is recorded against every selected ticket.
On-Demand Job Ticket
Need a ticket for a product that is not yet in the queue, or that lost its barcode during finishing? Use the On-Demand Job Ticket button at the top right of the Job Ticket Printing page. Scan a product barcode (or enter a Print Job ID manually) and a ticket prints instantly, including the Print Job ID, Product UID, and a scannable barcode.
The same button is also available at production stations such as the Mounting Station — see How to use On Demand Job Ticket for the full flow.
Job Ticket Status vs Print Job Status
The Job Ticket Status describes only the state of the physical paper, not the production state of the order. An order may already be printed (and even shipped) while its ticket still reads Prepared — the ticket simply has not been printed yet.
Job Ticket Status | What it means |
Prepared | The ticket has been generated, but the sticker has not been printed yet. |
Printed | The sticker has been printed. |
Downloaded | The ticket has been downloaded (for example, into a PDF for an external printer). |
Use the PJ Status column to see the actual print job state side by side, or filter by both statuses to investigate mismatches.
