Production teams can monitor and manage job progress in Gelato Connect using purpose-built tools designed for both oversight and execution. This article explains how production managers and operators can track jobs across stations, check SLA status, and organize daily workflows, all from a real-time dashboard view.

Monitor Production Flow with the Production Tracker

The Production Tracker in Gelato Connect offers a bird’s-eye view of production activity. It helps production managers understand the status of each job and identify bottlenecks across stations.

Key capabilities of the Production Tracker:

  • Visual overview of all stations within the production facility.

  • Status tracking across defined production steps such as printing, cutting, folding, and binding.

  • Custom station names and steps based on your own machines and configurations.

  • Real-time SLA tracking for all jobs, highlighting any that are delayed.

  • Job lists categorized by priority, including:

    • Jobs behind SLA.

    • Jobs scheduled for dispatch today.

    • Jobs upcoming in the next few days.

  • Dispatch date sorting to show what’s overdue and what’s next.

  • Filtering options to narrow down the view by machine or station, such as jobs currently printing on an Indigo 18,000.

Track Jobs at the Station Level with Production Stations View

Operators can monitor and manage their work through the Production Stations page. This interface is tailored for individual roles on the production floor and helps keep station-level activities organized and efficient.

What operators can do with the Production Stations page:

  • Select their assigned station from a list defined in Gelato Connect.

  • View jobs currently queued at their station (e.g., cutting, folding).

  • Track job types (e.g., posters, books, cards) and how many are pending.

  • Monitor daily progress with real-time metrics, such as:

    • Percentage of today’s work completed.

    • Total number of remaining jobs.

    • Time since the last job arrived at the station.

Progress tracking is driven by batch scanning—every time a job completes a step, it's scanned to mark the transition to the next station.
