The Catalog page is the central hub for managing your product orders efficiently in the Gelato Connect Procurement (GCP) app. This guide walks you through the three main sections of the page, how to leverage recommendations, and how to customize your experience for faster, more accurate purchasing.
1. Restock Recommendations
At the top of the Catalog page, you’ll see a Restock Recommendation Banner. This section highlights SKUs (Stock Keeping Units) that are:
Part of your GCP Inventory, and
Low in stock or out of stock
How It Works:
GCP automatically suggests which SKUs need to be reordered.
Simply click Create Orders to automatically:
Add the suggested items to your cart
Generate a draft purchase order
This feature ensures you're never caught off guard with low or empty inventory levels.
2. Recommended Suppliers
This section showcases suppliers you frequently order from. The system recommends up to eight suppliers based on your past order history.
Features:
Suppliers are listed in order of usage frequency.
You can customize this list by:
Removing suppliers using the Remove button.
Clicking Show All to browse and select from two types of suppliers:
Gelato Connect Suppliers
My Suppliers (custom suppliers added by your team)
To add a supplier:
Click the + (plus) icon next to the desired supplier.
Within seconds, it will appear in your Recommended Suppliers list.
This personalization ensures quick access to your preferred partners.
3. Recommended Categories
The last section includes product categories you frequently purchase from.
How Recommendations Are Determined:
If you're a new user, GCP will suggest categories based on popular purchases from other print partners in your region.
As you start placing orders, GCP will begin recommending categories tailored to your purchasing behavior.
Customization:
You can update this list to reflect categories most relevant to your business.
This allows quicker navigation and order creation without browsing the full catalog every time.
Pro Tip: Faster Order Creation
Once your suppliers and categories are customized, you can:
Browse a supplier’s full catalog directly from the Catalog page.
Create purchase orders quickly without needing to navigate to the full supplier list.
This setup ensures a streamlined, efficient procurement workflow.
