How to Add Users to Your Store

Written by Kyle Sawyer

Overview

There are two levels of user management in Store Link: Web to Print. First, as a PSP admin, you invite the initial admin user for a customer’s storefront through Gelato Connect. Then, the store admin (or you) can add end-customer accounts directly within the storefront’s admin interface.

This article covers both processes and explains how to configure store access settings.

Part 1: Inviting the first admin user (PSP admin)

Prerequisites

  • You are logged in to Gelato Connect as a PSP admin

  • The customer and storefront have already been created

Steps

  1. Navigate to Customers in the Gelato Connect interface.

  2. Find the relevant customer and click Edit Customer.

  3. Enter the admin user’s email address, first name, and last name.

  4. Click Add Admin.

  5. The user will receive an email invitation to log in to the storefront admin interface (Storefronts Connect).

Part 2: Adding end-customer accounts (store admin)

Prerequisites

  • You are logged in to the storefront admin interface

Steps

  1. Navigate to the Customers page within the storefront admin.

  2. Click Add Customer.

  3. Enter the customer’s email address, first name, last name, and password.

  4. Save the new customer account.

The customer can now use their email and password to log in to the storefront and place orders.

Configuring store access: public vs. private

By default, storefronts are private — only users with accounts can access them. However, you can make a store public if you want to allow anyone to browse without logging in.

  1. In the storefront admin, go to Settings.

  2. Click on the Storefronts tab.

  3. Select Store Access.

  4. Choose between Private (login required) or Public (open access).

Note: Making your store public means anyone with the URL can view products. Consider whether this is appropriate for your customer before enabling it.

What’s next?

With users set up, you can now customise the look and feel of the storefront.
