Overview
This article explains how to build your storefront's pages with content blocks, and how to set up your navigation menu and product search. By the end, your storefront will have a structured homepage, working menus, and search. New stores already include Home, About, and Contact pages with navigation and search switched on, so you'll mostly be editing rather than starting from scratch.
Prerequisites
You are logged in to the Admin Panel as a store admin.
Step 1: Manage your pages
Under CONTENT, open Pages to see all pages (Home, About, Contact, and any you add).
Use Create Page to add a page, Edit to open the page builder, and Save as Template to reuse a layout.
Use the In nav / Add to nav toggle on each page to control whether it appears in the header navigation.
Step 2: Build a page with content blocks
Open a page and click Edit.
From the Blocks panel, drag in blocks to compose the page. Options include Hero Slider, Hero Section, Product Grid, Product Carousel, Categories Grid, Category Product Grid, FAQ, Social Proof, Image + Text, and more.
Click any block to edit its content and colours in the right-hand panel.
Step 3: Set up navigation
Go to Layout > Header and select the Site Header block.
In the NAVIGATION section, set Show Category Navigation and choose a Navigation Style (for example, Products Mega Menu).
In NAV PAGES, drag pages to set their order in the menu.
Step 4: Enable the search bar
Still on the Site Header block, open the SEARCH section.
Set Show Search Bar to Show and, optionally, set the Search Placeholder Text.
Step 5: Publish
Click Publish and open your storefront to confirm pages, menu, and search all work.
Tip: The AUTHENTICATION section of the header block controls whether a Login button appears — useful for stores where customers need to sign in before ordering. |
