This guide explains how to manage your work schedules and file uploads effectively. You'll learn how to use Gelato’s tools to streamline processes, ensuring your Service Level Agreements (SLAs) remain intact and your operations run smoothly, even during team downtime. It's important to keep your calendar updated with all non-working days to prevent order delays and backlogs.
Updating Non-Working Days
Non-working days indicate when your team is unavailable to process orders. During these times, you won't receive any files. The file upload will resume on the next working day.
To ensure smooth operations, update your non-working days for at least the next six months. Here's how:
Access the Work Schedule tool in the Gelato Partner App.
Under the "Configuration" tab, select "Work Schedule."
Click "Create Request" in the top right corner.
Select the date, provide a reason for the request, and click "Confirm." Your request will be sent to Gelato for approval.
You can track the status of your request at the bottom of your app's page. While we encourage pausing file uploads on non-working days, you can request to continue receiving files if you're confident you will meet your SLA.
Managing File Uploads
The file upload tool provides flexibility in managing your order intake. You can standardize upload timings for all customers or tailor them for specific clients and products.
Configuring General File Uploads
Go to Dispatch Production > Manage > Manage File Upload.

Customizing File Uploads for Specific Customers
From the Manage File Upload page, select the desired customer from the list.
Click Edit.
Add a new time for the day (e.g., 3 a.m.).

Note: Changes to production days can impact your SLA, so plan file uploads accordingly to avoid disruptions.
Adjusting Bucketing Rules
Note: Bucketing rules override work schedules for specific jobs and products.
Bucketing rules enable users to group jobs and initiate plate building and file uploads based on specific criteria, such as product type, minimum quantity, time, and customer preferences. These rules help users optimize file handling and production workflows, including grouping files by product category. See more detail here.
Managing Bucketing Rules
Go to Dispatch Production > Manage Bucketing Rules.
Locate the rule and product you wish to adjust.
Click the three dots next to the rule and select Edit.
Make the necessary modifications to the upload schedule.
Click Save.
Tip: Changes made to bucketing rules do not require Gelato approval.
