This article introduces the AI-Estimator application, outlines its current capabilities, and explains how different users can get started. It also includes basic navigation instructions to help you access and use the system effectively.


What the AI-Estimator Does

The AI-Estimator is a smart quoting engine designed for print houses to generate fast and accurate price estimates based on:

  • Product configurations

  • Machine capabilities

  • Paper costs

  • Customizable pricing rules

It offers two input methods:

  • Manual entry via structured forms

  • AI-assisted estimates via Connect AI, a chat interface trained on historical data and industry logic


What the AI-Estimator Can Do Today

  • Understands customer quote requests like a seasoned estimator

  • Uses historical data to improve speed and accuracy

  • Supports commercial and large format print products

  • Handles complex quoting needs including versions and shipments

  • Applies pricing rules set by the print house

  • Multiplies the efficiency of your sales and estimator team

This guide is meant for:

  • Administrators (e.g., Management, CEO): Configure and maintain machines, products, materials, and pricing logic

Accessing the Application

  1. Log in using your credentials.

  2. On the left-hand menu, scroll down to Jobs and Estimations.

  3. Click Manage Estimates to access your estimates dashboard.


The Manage Estimates Dashboard

This page displays a list of all estimates in your system. You can:

  • View each estimate’s Job Name, Number, Customer, Status, Value, and Last Modified date

  • Add columns like Product Category, VA per press hour, AV percentage, or Estimator Name for more visibility
