Security and Login

Is the platform safe?

Absolutely! Our application is officially certified and equipped with an auto-update feature, ensuring adherence to all necessary security standards.

How to log in?

Begin by opening the app and entering your username.

For accounts using the previous login method, you'll be prompted for your password.

If you're using the updated login process, a new page will prompt you for both your email and password. Upon successful login, you'll be redirected back to the partner app.


App Version and Updates

How to check the app version?

For desktop users, click "About" in the top menu to view the current app version. Web app users can find the version in the top right corner of the settings page within the green rectangle.

How to update the app?

We highly recommend using the latest version for optimal performance and access to the newest features and improvements. Older versions will be phased out and unsupported.

You can update the app in the following ways:

  • Automatic Update: When a new version is released, the application will automatically prompt you with an update dialog. Clicking 'OK' will close and update the app.

  • Manual Update: Go to 'About' in the top menu and click the version number. This will check for updates and, if available, prompt you to install them.

  • Manual Installation: If automatic and manual updates are unsuccessful, download the latest version directly from https://gnx-platform.live.gelato.tech/download.

How to change from the beta to the stable version?

If you're currently using the beta version and prefer to switch to the stable version, navigate to 'About' in the top menu and select "Install latest stable app".

What is the difference between the beta and the latest stable version?

Both versions are production-ready, but the beta version offers earlier access to new features.

What is the difference between the web and desktop versions?

The desktop app, installable on Windows systems, allows for scanning print jobs, printing labels, and setting up automatic tracking code uploads. It receives updates automatically. The web app (https://network.gelato.com/) is a streamlined version without scanning or printing capabilities, but it remains consistently up-to-date.

How to clear app data?

To clear cookies and other saved information, go to 'File' in the top menu, select 'Clear app data and reload,' and then reselect your preferences on the settings page.

How to uninstall the app?

Open the Windows Control Panel, go to 'Programs,' then 'Uninstall,' locate 'Gelato' in the app list, and click 'Uninstall.'

How to send feedback or logs?

You can provide feedback by clicking the 'Report' button and selecting 'Feedback,' or through 'Feedback' in the top menu. Logs are automatically sent with your feedback when using the desktop app.

To send feedback, follow these steps:

  1. Add a comment (required).

  2. Attach an image or use the suggested screenshot.

  3. Click "Send."
