This article walks you through connecting a WooCommerce store to Store Link.

A note before you start: WooCommerce installations vary widely. Hosting providers, themes, and the dozens of plugins WordPress sites typically run mean most setup issues come from the WordPress environment, not from Store Link. If you hit a snag, work through the Common issues section at the bottom before contacting support.

Before you start

  • A WordPress site with WooCommerce installed and active.

  • WooCommerce REST API enabled (Settings → Advanced → REST API).

  • Site uses HTTPS.

  • Permalinks set to Post name (Settings → Permalinks).

  • Your Store Link account is set up.

Step 1 — Install the Gelato plugin

Install the Gelato WooCommerce plugin from the WordPress plugin directory, or download from your Store Link dashboard. Activate it inside WordPress.

Step 2 — Connect to Store Link

Open the Gelato plugin settings inside WordPress and follow the Connect to Store Link flow. Store Link will exchange the necessary credentials with your WooCommerce store.

Step 3 — Publish products

From your Store Link dashboard, publish products to your connected WooCommerce store. Variants, images, and descriptions flow through.

Common issues

WooCommerce-specific setup issues we see most often:

  • Plugin won't activate. Check for plugin conflicts. Deactivate other plugins one at a time to find the conflict.

  • "Connection failed." Verify the WooCommerce REST API is enabled, permalinks are set to Post name, and your site is on HTTPS.

  • Products not appearing. Check product visibility settings inside WooCommerce.

  • Theme rendering looks off. Themes vary in how they render product pages. Contact your theme vendor first; Store Link doesn't customise WooCommerce themes.

Disconnecting and inactivity

  • Inactivity policy: WooCommerce stores inactive for 12+ months may be permanently deleted. Email reminders go out 2 weeks and 24 hours before deletion.
